Sunday Morning Youth Class for students in Middle School, High School and Beyond
Students are invited to meet at 10:00 AM for an hour to discuss issues facing youth today. Topics are discussed in safe and confidential environment. References from the Bible are used to give a Christian perspective to discussions.
Middle and high school students in our Youth Group meet throughout the year with their leaders for a variety of activities. Devotions and Bible studies are embedded in the schedule. Check with the church office for dates. The Sunday Morning Youth Class is also for students in these age groups.
Parents provide the primary influence and instruction in the faith life of their children. Our goals in youth ministry are to equip and encourage parents for this task, provide opportunities for our youth to grow in their faith and empower them to share Christ’s love with others.
Every three years we attend the National Youth Gathering of the LCMS. These gatherings, held out of state, are five-day opportunities to gather with 20,000 to 30,000 other high school students in celebration, learning and service within their mutual Christian faith.
At Trinity Lutheran Church and School, confirmation classes are taught by our pastor to 7th and 8th grade students. Using Luther’s Small Catechism, students learn about their relationship to God, what is prayer, the meaning of the Holy Sacraments and the Ten Commandments. Annually, the congregation celebrates the rite of Confirmation with those students who desire this personal affirmation of their faith and membership in the LCMS.
Middle or high school students who do not attend Trinity Lutheran Christian School and wish to participate in a confirmation class are invited to call the church office for specific times of the class. 503.288.6403
