NLSA serves as the accrediting body for Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod schools across the United States and the world.
Accreditation decisions are based upon a school’s compliance with national standards for Lutheran schools. These are evaluated and measured in seven specific standard areas. Upon conclusion of a self-study, an NLSA visiting team validates that the information prepared by the school accurately reflects the program at the school. In a formal, two-day visit, the team examines evidence, interviews school stakeholders, visits classrooms and observes overall school practices.
The NLSA Validation Team who came to TLCS in October, 2021 were grateful for the care and help they received as well as the thoroughness of all materials we provided for them to know about TLCS. They will recommend that TLCS be accredited through NLSA for another 5 year cycle! The team noted the following as strengths:
- Strong loving relationships between families, staff, children, and congregation.
- Children receive excellent care in a joyful, safe, clean, and caring environment.
- Strong and inclusive community complement this diverse ministry and provide openness and visibility to the whole community.
- A challenging, cohesive, academic curriculum at all levels meets children where they are and gives them opportunities to excel.
- A very strong partnership between the school and the congregation.
May the Lord continue to bless Trinity congregation and our school as we share His love with our children from infants to young teens.
